Hey — this site’s all different …and missing stuff!

firefly-294x300I’m so glad you noticed! You are correct — after nearly two years of hibernation, FireflyRPG.com is beginning a crawl back to the realm of vibrancy with a new content management system, new content to manage and more!

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be adding most of the old content back to the site, and we have a few exciting bits of exclusive content planned, too.

New features of the site include comment areas on each post and a more modular design that makes it easier for us to modify existing content.

As always, let us know if you have something you’d like to submit, and don’t hesitate to ask questions or leave comments if you have any!

Glad to hear you guys are coming back. There were some great resources on here that I was hoping to use in an upcoming game so I hope to see them again! Keep flyin’!

  2. Jonn Wolfe says:

So glad you’re coming back. Looking forward to all the goodies and stuff.

Will you be doing simplified maps like they have for the “Official” ? *eyebrow waggle*

  3. Josh says:

    Actually, I have something all ready there… Gimme a few hours… : )

  4. Mason says:

We’re about to start a campaign and I got on to grab some of the maps and things. When I saw they were gone I was pretty sad, but not so much now that I see you’re back in action. Great to see you’re back at it!

  5. Ben Hamill says:

The comments are really hard to read. Either font color or background color needs to change, I think. Is there something those of us who might find this site useful might do to help you get things running again? Technical or otherwise…

  6. Josh says:

OK, OK — the comments are fixed!

To answer Ben’s point, bear with me — this is going to happen, but I’m being pulled in several different directions. One thing at a time. : )

  7. Ben Hamill says:

Oh I didn’t mean to nag. I’m just offering, if you need it. ^_^ (by the way your planar view of the Official Map is awesome).

  8. Peace-pie says:

AH! You have returned! So many have vanished into the nothingness of the black ever since the little game that could was snuffed out by the big corporate entity. *hugs* I NEED this site.

  9. Megankitty says:

You guys are going to be such a help for men in playing in a Firefly RPG game I hope you get more stuff up because the more i have to work with the better thank you for coming back to life

  10. Travis says:

Sweet, were going to start a game. (first timers)
And any help we can have from a site this would be awesome!
    Keep on flying friends,
    Browncoats Forever

  11. Marcus says:

Gotta say you guys have some great stuff. That blueprint map looks great (hoo-rah for hex grids)

For game aids and stuff, do you plan on making your own scenarios and such? that’d be shiney.

  12. Josh says:

Marcus — I DO plan on making more game aids. I have piles and piles of notes, sketches and maps from running three years of Firefly/Serenity campaigns — I just have to turn them into something more than notes!

  13. Marcus says:

Shiny. Not just good chap stuff, bad lad sorts of scenarios too, perhaps?

  14. Robert-Lee says:

I’m just starting to plan a campaign as well. I wonder if there could be more material about some alliance ships?

Glad you guys are back too.

  15. Brandon says:

Too bad this site is gone. You had some great stuff, too!

  16. Josh says:

The site’s not GONE, per se. It’s sitting on my hard drive. I’m gradually going to start re-uploading thing and adding new things as well. My time is just really divided between http://www.geek6.com and my day job. : )

  17. Arowain says:

Really glad you are going to put more on the www. I can’t thank you enough for the great player aids. I am 18 Episodes into running a Firefly game and couldn’t have done it without your original map,(which feels spot on) money and weapon cards!

    Thanks a million

    Arowain
